Jump

Life is like a stream of water and we all occupy different rocks within the stream.

Some people occupy pebbles while others occupy boulders.

Regardless of the size of the rock we occupy there are always better rocks available to all of us.

The problem with moving to a bigger and better rock is it requires a leap of faith.

Most people want to occupy a better rock but they are afraid if they jump they will fall in the stream of life and drown.

The fear of failure paralyzes them.

These people do not want to jump unless they are absolutely certain they will land on the desired rock and not drown.

So they spend their life waiting for the perfect conditions to jump, which never come.

What people fail to realize is that God doesn't Bless you while you sit on your rock and do nothing.

God Blesses you after you have taken the leap of faith.

He Blesses you while you are in the air and makes sure you land safely.

So JUMP!!

It's Getting Better

It's great when others think highly of you. And yet your value does not depend on what others think. It's great when things are going your way. And yet true fulfillment in life does not depend on everything always being perfect.

It's great when fortune smiles on you. And yet it is in the difficult, challenging times that you grow stronger and gain valuable wisdom.

It's great when you get something right on the first attempt. And yet there is much to be learned from mistakes and disappointments as well.

It's great to spend some time relaxing. And yet if that's all you ever do, life can become unbearably empty.

Whatever life may send your way, there's a way for you to make the most of it. In every up and every down, you have the golden opportunity to fully live.

Happiness

Happiness is far too valuable to be put off until later, or buried in the past. Happiness is here for you to bring to life in the only place where you can truly experience it, the present moment.

Being happy right now will not make your problems any worse. In fact, it will most likely make things better. Your happiness will not harm or offend anyone else. In fact, it may very well be of much value to others.

Happiness has no prerequisites, no conditions which must first be met, really no requirements at all. Experiencing happiness does not in any way deplete it, but increases the supply of it.

Stop waiting for happiness to come to you and start letting it come from you. And there will always be more than enough to go around.

Aim

Take a look around you, right this moment, and you'll see the results of your past priorities. Whatever has been most important to you, whatever has been the focus of your time and commitment, has come to pass.

If you're satisfied and fulfilled by where you are, you know what it took to get there and you can continue cheerfully along the same path. If you're not completely pleased with the results of your past priorities, the first thing to do is change those priorities.

Every moment of every day you are committed to something. When enough of those moments are focused on a particular priority, on a particular possibility, that possibility will come to life.

Look at the possibilities that you've already brought to reality as the result of your focus and commitment. Whether you like the results or not, the fact is that you've definitely achieved results.

The question now is, what results would you like to achieve next? Aim your focus, aim your commitment, aim your priorities, aim the efforts of each moment in the direction of those results, and they will most certainly happen.

The Power of Attention

The things to which you give your attention will grow stronger. Think about something, focus on something, give your energy to something, and that energy gives it life, whatever it may be. What you work toward will grow stronger. What you fight against will also grow stronger.

If you focus on your frustrations, you end up becoming even more frustrated. And if you then continue to dwell on those frustrations, eventually you reach the point where it's nearly impossible to focus on anything else.

Yet when you direct your thoughts toward your blessings, your possibilities, and the opportunities that life presents, those good and valuable things become even more so. The power of your attention can quickly transform modest value into ever- increasing richness and meaning.

In every moment you have the choice of where to direct your attention. Life may throw all sorts of things your way, and yet you can always decide where the power of your attention is focused.

As you go through this day, make yourself aware of how you use the enormous power of attention. Keep your attention locked solidly on the positive possibilities, and you will give them life.
